To answer your question i have to ask a few questions:

What type of internet conenction do you have.

The reason i ask that is because if you have a cable or DSL connection, then you probably have a device called router. You can connect the belkin device(Hub,switch) to the Router, this router needs to be setup with DHCP. This is for starters.Let me know the answer to my question and i will give more information.
