I cannot use Synergy or any other software program because one of the computers is for work and their firewall prevents it from working. Can a KVM switch allow me to use 2 monitors? I have both monitors side by side and I want to switch easily between the two. Thanks!

Yes you can use a KVM, just dont attach the monitor to the KVM switch.
