Sharing documents/programs between 2 computers at home?

I want to know how we're able to share programs/documents between 2 computers at home. I have done it before but I can't remember how. I just obtained a new laptop and I want to easily transfer things over. The 2 computers are on the same network connection. Thanks.

1. Move the desired file to the 'shared documents' folder.

or

2. Right-click your hard drive and click "sharing and security". A screen will pop up. If you get a message about "understanding the risk", just click "here"where it tells you.

Under the "sharing" tab, check the box that says "share this folder" and click "ok".

Should work. Hope this helps.

1) Remote Desktop Connection

2) Share harddrives: Right click the harddrive, properties, sharing and security, check the box of sharing.
On the assumption that you are running a relatively recent flavor of Windows, be sure that both computers have workgroup computing enables and are members of the same workgroup. Then enable sharing on any drives that you would like to allow others to access. While not a click-by-click guide, this should point you in the right direction.
Right click the harddrive, properties, sharing and security, check the box of sharing.

Open Windows explorer, right click at folder you want share, click properties, click tab sharing, find share this folder something like that. ^_^
