can a dsl modem let two seperate computers use the internet at the same time?
Can two computers be connected at the same time through a dsl modem and not interfere with eachother?anti virus
Buy a router, Ethernet or Wireless, and create a home network. You can then connect 2, 3, 4 or more computers to the Internet; all at the same time. You should check with your ISP, though, because some limit your bandwidth and connecting several computers at the same time could either slow your connection or result in extra charges.

Nope a hub (for 15$-20$) availble at a second hand dealer, is required how in the world is the computer suppose to know how to split your IP adress? huh huh ANSWER! HAHAH kidding but its NO!
yeah you need a router to do that.
yea but the max download speed whold be shared and the best way to do this is to get a networking hub and network the two computers and hook one up as a resadential gateway
Yes. I have Linksys WRT54GC wireless router connected to my cable modem using an Ethernet cable. My desktop PC is connected to the router using another Ethernet cable (for the fastest connection speed). I am able to connect to the router with my laptop using a Linksys Wireless USB Network Adapter. Most router have at least 4 Ethernet ports that allow 4 PCs to be connected to the same cable/dsl modem
I can allow my friends to connect when they visit with thier laptop.
There is no interference between the PCs.
