Should I just say I suck with computers?

I'm pretty good with computers. I can build em, upgrade em, fix em, etc, etc. A lot of people know this (It doesn't help that my family brags that they have a CPSC major in the family..), and they always ask me to fix theirs or help them buy/build a new one. I don't really LIKE fixing computers since it generally takes time out of my day, and I could be playing games with that time. Would it be wrong of me to just.. say I suck with computers to avoid being asked about them? It's not like I'd be blowing them off. It'd more or less be a way of preemptively avoiding non-paying work. Would it be so selfish to use what skills I had to make my life easier while forgetting the rest?

It would be wrong to lie...so saying you suck when you don't is just wrong.

Why fight it? I'd suggest you start a small business as a side job. Charge an hourly fee for your time...this will eliminate the free loaders and those that are willing to pay will fairly compensate you for your time. (perk...you'll have more money to buy more games...lol) Print some business cards and when someone starts asking for help...hand them one and tell them you'll gladly give them an estimate for what you think your services will run.
